Jeru the Damaja
Brooklyn-born Jeru spent his early years in the borough’s East New York neighborhood, where he began rhyming at block parties as a youth. He first showcased his hardcore Brooklyn style to audiences on ‘I’m the Man’ a track from Gang Starr’s 1992 album Daily Operation.

The following year he released the classic DJ Premier-produced hit single, Come Clean’. His first album, ‘The Sun Rises in the East’, was released in 1994 – an essential hip hop addition to anyone’s music collection. In ’96 his second, highly acclaimed album, Wrath of the Math spawned the hits ‘Ya Playin’ Yaself’, ‘One Day’, ‘Me or the Papes’ and ‘The Bullshit’.

The man is still hard at work. His most recent album ‘The Hammer’ came out last year and features co-labs with such heavyweights as Large Professor and The Beatnuts.

You can’t stop the Prophet!!

Juttla – Remix Sessions Vol. 1 EP @Juttla @GenesisElijah @OfficialDotz @officialLate @BigDuttyDeeze @ParkStreetPR

‘Volume One’ kicks off with a great selection of four well respected artists, with Genesis Elijah’s single ‘This Year’ getting a Juttla treatment. Next up is the dub fused Juttla Remix of ‘Ship Is Sinkin’ by Dotz, from Phili N Dotz and Fifthly Funk, before we get into a new version of the ‘Wrong Attitude’ anthem from Midlands based rapper LATE. The project is wrapped up well with Big Dutty Deeze’s ‘Revolution’ which is a bass led atmospheric banger. Be on the lookout for Volume Two coming sooner than you think…

Juttla ‘Remix Sessions Vol. 1’ (Track-list):
01 – Genesis Elijah – This Year (Juttla Remix)
02 – Dotz – Ship Is Sinkin (Juttla Remix)
